Ventilation Flat Take-off (Flat-to-Round Transition)
Product Description
A ventilation flat take-off is a special fitting designed to create a round duct branch from a flat surface. It is most often used to connect round ducts to rectangular ventilation trunks, ventilation equipment housings, or plenum box walls.
The flat base (flange) of the take-off is mounted onto the wall of the trunk, and the round spigot serves as the connection point for the standard round ventilation system.
Key Features and Options
- Universal Transition: Allows for an easy and airtight connection between two systems of different geometries (rectangular and round).
- Two Connection Types (Custom Order): We can manufacture take-offs with a "male" spigot (nipple, for insertion into a duct) or a "female" spigot (socket, for connection with a nipple).
- Airtightness Options: The standard version of the spigot is supplied with an EPDM rubber gasket for Class "D" airtightness. A version without a gasket can be manufactured upon request (to reduce cost).
- Simple Installation: The flat base is easily attached to the surface with self-tapping screws or rivets, providing a wide area for sealant application.

Material and Thickness (for all types):
- Material: Galvanized steel DX51+Z275. Stainless steel (AISI430, AISI304, AISI316), aluminum, and powder coating (according to RAL or RR catalogs) are available on request.
- Thickness: From 0.5 to 0.9 mm depending on the diameter.
- Certification: The products comply with CE, EN 1505:2000 and EN 1506:2007 standards.
Application and Installation Tips
- Preparation: An opening corresponding to the take-off's diameter must be cut into the flat surface (e.g., the wall of a rectangular duct).
- Base Sealing: Before installation, it is recommended to apply sealant around the perimeter of the take-off's base to ensure a tight fit against the surface.
- Fastening: The take-off is fixed to the surface using rivets or self-tapping metal screws.
- Connection: The spigot with its gasket is inserted airtightly into the duct. When ordering the version without a gasket, the spigot joint should be sealed with aluminum tape.
Availability and Ordering
- Availability: Standard take-offs (D-100...400), shown in the table, are kept in stock or delivered within short lead times.
- Custom Order: On request, it is possible to manufacture take-offs without a rubber gasket (to reduce cost), non-standard diameters (up to 1250 mm), and any other non-standard variations (including the materials specified in the characteristics).
