Ventilation Nipple (Internal Coupling)
Product Description
A ventilation nipple is the primary connection element for assembling straight sections of a ventilation system. It is designed to connect two round ducts (pipes) together.
The nipple features connecting spigots of outer diameter ("male") on both sides and is installed inside the connected ducts. It features a central stop bead that ensures proper centering of the component during installation.
Key Features and Options
- Main Function: Reliable and quick connection of straight ventilation pipes.
- Construction: Equipped with a stop bead for centering and a linear welded seam for high strength.
- Airtightness: The standard version is supplied with an EPDM rubber gasket to achieve Class "D" airtightness.
- No-Gasket Option: On request (to reduce cost), nipples can be manufactured without a gasket.
- Reliable Material: The standard version made of galvanized steel (DX51+Z275) ensures durability and corrosion protection.

Material and Thickness:
- Material: Galvanized steel DX51+Z275. Stainless steel (AISI430, AISI304, AISI316), aluminum, and powder coating (according to RAL or RR catalogs) are available on request.
- Thickness: From 0.5 to 0.9 mm depending on the diameter.
- Certification: The products comply with CE, EN 1505:2000 and EN 1506:2007 standards.
Application and Installation Tips
- Connecting Ducts: The nipple is inserted into the ends of two ducts being joined until it hits the stop bead.
- Fastening: It is recommended to secure the joint using self-tapping screws or rivets.
- Sealing: When ordering the version without a gasket, the joint must be additionally sealed with aluminum tape.
- Connecting Fittings: If you need to connect two fittings (e.g., two bends), a nipple is not suitable. Use a coupler for this purpose.
Custom Manufacturing and Variations
In our workshop, we can manufacture connection elements for any project requirement:
- Nipple without gasket: An economical option. During installation, sealing tapes or sealant will be required to seal the joint.
- Elongated Nipple: We manufacture nipples of any length (L) to customer specifications. This is useful when bridging a gap between pipes or passing through a thick wall.
- "Male-Female" Adapter (one side expanded): A specific item where one side is male (fits inside a pipe) and the other is female/expanded (fits over a fitting). It is used as an extension for fittings or as an adapter.
Availability and Ordering
- In Stock: Standard nipples (with gasket) listed in the table are kept in stock.
- Made to Order: Manufacturing of elongated versions, "Male-Female" adapters, as well as items made of stainless steel and aluminium, is performed upon request.
