Product Description

Ventilation connections are key elements required for assembling an airtight and durable round duct system. Depending on what you are connecting, one of two types of connectors is used:

• Nipple (internal connection, "male"): This is the most common type of connection. It is used to connect two straight ducts together. The nipple inserts inside both ducts, joining them end-to-end.
• Coupler (external connection, "female"): This is a special element used to connect two fittings (e.g., a bend to a tee). Since both fittings have a male connection part, the coupler is fitted over the top of them.

Key Features and Options

• Main Function: To ensure an airtight and mechanically strong connection of ventilation system components.
• Airtightness Options: The standard version is supplied with an EPDM rubber gasket to achieve Class "D" airtightness. A version without a gasket can be manufactured upon request (to reduce cost).
• Reliable Material: The standard version made of galvanized steel (DX51+Z275) ensures durability and corrosion protection.
• Special Versions (Custom Order): Manufacturing of extended couplers, non-standard diameters, as well as products from stainless steel or with powder coating is available.

Material and Thickness (for all types):

• Material: Galvanized steel DX51+Z275. Stainless steel (AISI430, AISI304, AISI316), aluminum, and powder coating (according to RAL or RR catalogs) are available on request.
• Thickness: From 0.5 to 0.9 mm depending on the diameter.
• Certification: The products comply with CE, EN 1505:2000 and EN 1506:2007 standards.

Application and Installation Tips

• Scenario 1 (Duct + Duct): Use a Nipple (internal, from stock). The standard version with a gasket provides an airtight seal. When ordering the version without a gasket, it is recommended to seal the joint with aluminum tape.
• Scenario 2 (Fitting + Fitting): Use a Coupler (external, custom order).
• Scenario 3 (Duct + Fitting): No connection is needed. The fitting (bend, tee, reducer) already has a male part and inserts directly into the duct.

Availability and Ordering

• Availability: Standard nipples (VASMU) with gaskets, shown in the first table, are kept in stock or delivered within short lead times.
• Custom Order: We manufacture Couplers (external connections, VASMUA), nipples without a rubber gasket (to reduce cost), non-standard diameters (up to 1250 mm), and any other non-standard variations (including the materials specified in the characteristics).
