Pressed ventilation round elbow 45 degree

manufacturer: Akvilon | Kods: VASLI45P

Round Pressed Bend 45° (with Gasket)

Product Description

A round 45° pressed bend is a fitting designed for a smooth change in the direction of a ventilation run. Thanks to its pressed (seamless) construction, it has a perfectly smooth inner surface.

Performance Difference: Unlike a 90° bend, the 45° bend creates significantly less aerodynamic resistance and a lower noise level, as it provides a more gradual turn for the airflow. The factory-installed EPDM rubber gasket ensures a high airtightness (Class "D").

Key Features

  • Airtightness Class D: Thanks to the EPDM gasket, which is factory-crimped by a lock-seam, a high level of system airtightness is achieved without the need for sealants.
  • Pressed (Seamless) Construction: The smooth inner surface provides minimal airflow resistance, reduces noise levels, and prevents dust accumulation (unlike segmented bends).
  • Safe Edges "SAFE": Specially rounded and reinforced edges make installation safer (no sharp edges to cut hands) and provide additional rigidity.
  • High-Quality Steel: Made from galvanized steel (Z275, 275 g/m²).

Available Diameters and Specifications

Below are the standard sizes for 45° pressed bends. Segmented bends (diameter 250 mm and larger) are a separate product.

Material and Thickness (for all types):

  • Material: Galvanized steel DX51+Z275 (275 g/m²). Stainless steel (AISI430, AISI304, AISI316), aluminum, and powder coating (according to RAL or RR catalogs) are available on request.
  • Thickness: ~ 0.5 mm (standard for pressed items).
  • Certification: The products comply with CE, EN 1505:2000 and EN 1506:2007 standards.

Application and Installation Tips

  • Installation: The bend (which has a "male" spigot with a gasket) inserts easily and airtightly inside a straight duct.
  • "Fitting-to-fitting" connection: To connect two fittings (e.g., two bends) together, use a coupler (external connection).
  • Safety: Thanks to the "SAFE" edges, installation is faster and safer, without the risk of cuts.
  • Fastening: It is recommended to secure the joint using self-tapping screws or rivets.

Availability and Ordering

  • Availability: Standard pressed bends, shown in the table, are always in stock.
  • Custom Order: On request, it is possible to manufacture bends without a gasket (to reduce cost) and any other non-standard variations (including the materials specified in the characteristics).
