Product Description

A duct end with mesh (also known as a grille end cap) is a fitting installed at the end sections of ductwork. It functions as a protective grille at the intake or exhaust point of the system.

The main purpose of this element is to prevent foreign objects, birds, rodents, or large debris from entering the ventilation channel. By default, the element has a male connection (nipple) for installation inside the duct.

Key Features and Options

• Protective Function: Effectively protects the system from external factors (birds, rodents, leaves).
• Mesh: The standard mesh size for the galvanized screen is 13x13 mm. Custom manufacturing with a different type or size of mesh is available on request.
• Airtightness Options: The standard version is supplied with an EPDM rubber gasket. A version without a gasket can be manufactured upon request (to reduce cost).
• Connection Type: The standard version is a male connection ("-") with a gasket, for insertion inside a duct. A female connection ("+", for connecting to nipples) can be manufactured on request.

Available Diameters and Specifications

Material and Thickness (for all types):

• Material: Galvanized steel DX51+Z275. Stainless steel (AISI430, AISI304, AISI316), aluminum, and powder coating (according to RAL or RR catalogs) are available on request.
• Thickness: From 0.5 to 0.9 mm depending on the diameter.
• Certification: The products comply with CE, EN 1505:2000 and EN 1506:2007 standards.

Application and Installation Tips

• Direct Installation: The end cap is inserted directly into the female end (socket) of a round duct; the rubber gasket ensures an airtight seal.
• Sealing: When ordering the version without a gasket, the joint should be sealed with aluminum tape.

Availability and Ordering

• Availability: All end caps with mesh shown in the table are supplied on a custom-order basis.
• Custom Order: On request, it is possible to manufacture end caps without a gasket (to reduce cost), with a non-standard mesh size, non-standard diameters (up to 1250 mm), and any other non-standard variations (including the materials specified in the characteristics).
