Round Ventilation Reducer
Product Description
A round ventilation transition, also known as a reducer, is used in ventilation systems to smoothly connect two ducts of different diameters. This allows for a change in the channel cross-section while maintaining optimal airflow and minimizing pressure loss.
Key Features and Options
- Two Geometry Types: We supply both concentric (central, axes aligned) and eccentric reducers (axes offset).
- Connection Types: The standard version is "male-male" ("-" connection), for insertion into ducts. "Female" ("+") or "female-male" (+/-) connections can be manufactured on request.
- Construction: Short pressed reducers (for small diameters) and segmented reducers (for large diameters and custom configurations) are available.
- Airtightness Options: The standard version is supplied with EPDM rubber gaskets for Class "D" airtightness. A version without a gasket can be manufactured upon request (to reduce cost).
- Custom Manufacturing: We produce S-shaped transitions ("offsets"/"pants"), as well as items with a custom length or required lateral offset based on your drawings.

Material and Thickness (for all types):
- Material: Galvanized steel DX51+Z275. Stainless steel (AISI430, AISI304, AISI316), aluminum, and powder coating (according to RAL or RR catalogs) are available on request.
- Thickness: From 0.5 to 0.9 mm depending on the diameter.
- Certification: The products comply with CE, EN 1505:2000 and EN 1506:2007 standards.
Application and Installation Tips
- Installation: Both ends of the reducer (larger and smaller) with gaskets are inserted inside the female sockets of the corresponding diameter ducts, ensuring an airtight connection.
- Sealing: When ordering the version without a gasket, the joints must be sealed with aluminum tape.
- Type Selection: Use a concentric reducer for axial runs and an eccentric one for offset runs (e.g., along a wall or ceiling).
Availability and Ordering
- Availability: Standard concentric reducers (VASPAG), shown in the first table, are kept in stock or delivered within short lead times.
- Custom Order: On request, it is possible to manufacture eccentric reducers (VASPAGA), S-shaped "offsets", connections without a rubber gasket (to reduce cost), non-standard diameters (up to 1250 mm), and any other non-standard variations (including the materials specified in the characteristics).
