Product Description

A ventilation end cap is a fitting installed at the end of a rectangular air duct. Its main function is to hermetically close the air channel, preventing air leaks (pressure loss) in the system, as well as protecting the interior of the ventilation from construction dust, moisture, and foreign objects.

Unlike makeshift solutions, the factory-made end cap is equipped with a standard connecting frame (flange), which allows it to be easily removed for inspection or cleaning of the duct if necessary.

Key Features

• Structural rigidity: The end cap is a metal sheet reinforced around the perimeter with a flange profile. On medium and large-sized items, the plane is additionally reinforced with diagonal bends or stiffening ribs so that the metal does not vibrate under air pressure.
• Tightness: The item ensures a tight closure of the circuit (when using a seal), which is critical for correct balancing of the ventilation system.
• Materials: DX51D+Z275 galvanized steel (275 g/m²). High zinc content protects the end cap from corrosion, even if it comes into contact with moist exhaust air. Manufacturing from stainless steel or painting in RAL colors is also available.

Installation Recommendations

• Sealing: Metal-to-metal contact does not provide airtightness. Before tightening bolts, be sure to apply sealing tape to the end cap flange.
• Facade option: If you plan to install an end cap at the duct outlet to the street (for air exhaust or intake), this solid model is not suitable. Use an end cap with mesh, which protects against birds but allows air to pass through.
• Fastening: Standard M8/M10 bolts and corner clamps (cleats), which can be found in the mounting materials section, are used for fixation.
