Rectangular to Round Transition
Product Description
This fitting ensures a smooth aerodynamic transition from a rectangular channel to a circular air duct. It is necessary for integrating circular components (fans, silencers, flexible ducts) into the system or for branching spiral-wound pipes from the main rectangular trunk.
The transition geometry is calculated to minimize air resistance when changing the cross-section shape. The item is manufactured to order according to specific project requirements.
Key Features and Execution Types
- Geometry variability: As with rectangular reducers, the transformation can be:
- Central (Symmetric): The axis of the circular pipe coincides with the center of the rectangle.
- Eccentric (Offset): The circular spigot is shifted to any side (up, down, left, right). This is critical when ducts are routed flush against the ceiling ("flat top").
- Connection types:
- Rectangular side: Flange 20/30/40 mm for bolt connection.
- Circular side: Nipple with rubber seal (EPDM). Ensures Class C tightness and quick installation. At the customer's request (to reduce costs), we can manufacture the circular spigot without a seal. In this case, joint sealing is done manually by the installer (sealant + tape).
- Item length: Standardized depending on the rectangular cross-section size (from 300 to 600 mm) to ensure a smooth narrowing angle.

Installation Recommendations
- Geometry specification: When placing an order, be sure to specify where the circular spigot should be located (center, flush with bottom, flush with top). A symmetric transition is manufactured by default.
- Assembly: The rectangular part is connected with bolts using sealing tape. The circular part is inserted into the spiral pipe. If the option without a rubber seal is selected, the joint must be carefully sealed with sealant and secured with self-tapping screws.
- Support: The transition is often the mounting point for heavy fans. Ensure that the fan itself has its ownsuspensions so as not to load the transition flange connection "to the breaking point".
