Rectangular Volume Control Damper
Product Description
The rectangular volume control damper is a multi-leaf type shut-off and regulating device. It is used for precise airflow adjustment (balancing) in ventilation branches, as well as for complete channel closure when the system is switched off.
The construction consists of a casing and rotating blades (louvers) that rotate towards each other via a gear system. This ensures smoother flow regulation compared to single-blade dampers.
Key Features and Execution Options
- Control type:
- Manual: Equipped with a reliable handle with a rotation angle lock. Used for commissioning (set once and locked).
- Motorized ready: Supplied with an extended shaft (axle) and a platform for mounting a servo actuator (Belimo or similar). The actuator allows remote control of the damper. Note: The electric actuator itself is not included in the set.
- Tightness:
- Standard: Aluminum blades without seals (for regulation).
- Class C (with seal): Blades are equipped with rubber gaskets. In the closed position, such a damper ensures minimal air leakage (shut-off function).
- Materials: The casing is made of DX51D (Z275) galvanized steel. The rotating blades are made of aluminum profile. This reduces weight and lowers the load on the rotation mechanisms, extending the actuator service life.

Installation Recommendations
- Orientation: The damper can be installed both horizontally and vertically. The main condition is to ensure free access to the handle or electric actuator for maintenance.
- Actuator installation: If you order the version for automation, ensure that the torque of your actuator matches the damper area (the larger the cross-section, the more powerful motor is needed).
- Maintenance: The gear mechanism is located inside the profile or on the side (depending on the model), but the blades themselves can get dirty with dust/grease over time, making rotation difficult. Periodic mobility checks are recommended.
