Product Description

A round 15° segmented bend is a fitting designed for the smoothest possible change in the direction of a ventilation run. Unlike pressed bends, the segmented (welded) method is used to create bends of large diameters (from 250 mm and up).

Performance Difference: The 15° angle provides minimal aerodynamic resistance. It is used where only a slight correction of the duct path is needed and ensures very quiet operation. The factory-installed EPDM rubber gasket guarantees a high airtightness (Class "D").

• Airtightness Class D: Thanks to the EPDM gasket, which is factory-crimped by a lock-seam, a high level of system airtightness is achieved without the need for sealants.
• Segmented Construction: Allows for the manufacturing of large-diameter bends (up to 1000 mm and larger) that cannot be produced by pressing.
• Minimal Resistance: The smooth 15° angle provides the most gradual change in direction, ensuring minimal pressure loss and low noise levels.
• Safe Edges "SAFE": Specially rounded and reinforced edges make installation safer (no sharp edges to cut hands) and provide additional rigidity.
• High-Quality Steel: Made from galvanized steel (Z275, 275 g/m²).

Available Diameters and Specifications

Below are the standard sizes for 15° segmented bends. Pressed bends (diameter up to 200 mm) are a separate product.

Material and Thickness (for all types):

• Material: Galvanized steel DX51+Z275 (275 g/m²). Stainless steel (AISI430, AISI304, AISI316), aluminum, and powder coating (according to RAL or RR catalogs) are available on request.
• Thickness: From 0.5 to 1.0 mm (depending on diameter).
• Certification: The products comply with CE, EN 1505:2000 and EN 1506:2007 standards.

Application and Installation Tips

• Installation: The bend (which has a "male" spigot with a gasket) inserts easily and airtightly inside a straight duct.
• "Fitting-to-fitting" connection: To connect two fittings (e.g., two bends) together, use a coupler (external connection).
• Safety: Thanks to the "SAFE" edges, installation is faster and safer, without the risk of cuts.
• Fastening: It is recommended to secure the joint using self-tapping screws or rivets.

Availability and Ordering

• Availability: Standard segmented bends, shown in the table, are always in stock or available on short lead times.
• Custom Order: On request, it is possible to manufacture bends without a gasket (to reduce cost), non-standard radii, and any other non-standard variations (including the materials specified in the characteristics).
