Round Ventilation Air Dampers
Product Description
A round damper is a fitting used to control and regulate the volume of airflow within a system of round ducts. It allows for precise system balancing or for completely shutting off a channel.
We offer three main types of dampers:
- Manual Damper: Adjusted manually using a handle.
- Damper for Actuator (Motorized): Equipped with a mounting plate for installing an electric actuator (servo motor), allowing for automated airflow control.
- Iris Damper: Provides precise and smooth airflow regulation by uniformly changing the diameter of the opening (like a diaphragm).
Key Features and Options
- Airtightness: The standard version (for manual and motorized) is supplied with an EPDM rubber gasket on the casing, which provides a high level of airtightness (Class C).
- No-Gasket Option: On request (to reduce cost), dampers can be manufactured without the gasket.
- Connection Type: The standard version is "male" ("-"), for insertion inside the ducts.
- Important Note: For dampers "for actuator" (motorized), the electric actuator (servo motor) is not included and must be purchased separately.

Material and Thickness (for all types):
- Material: Galvanized steel DX51+Z275. Stainless steel (AISI304, AISI316) and powder coating (according to RAL or RR catalogs) are available on request.
- Thickness: From 0.5 to 1.0 mm depending on the diameter.
- Certification: The products comply with CE, EN 1505:2000 and EN 1506:2007 standards.
Application and Installation Tips
- Installation: The damper is installed in line with the ductwork. The "male" spigots are inserted inside the ducts.
- Fitting-to-fitting connection: To connect the damper to another fitting (e.g., a bend), use a coupler (external connection).
- Sealing: When ordering the version without a gasket, the joints must be sealed with aluminum tape.
Availability and Ordering
- Availability: Standard manual dampers are always in stock.
- Custom Order: It is possible to order non-standard elements at the customer's request.
