Rectangular Flexible Duct Connector
Product Description
The rectangular flexible duct connector (soft connection) is an essential element for connecting ventilation equipment. It is installed between the discharge outlet of the fan (or air handling unit) and the rigid air duct.
The main task of the product is to break the rigid mechanical link in the system. The connector dampens the vibrations of the operating motor, preventing their transmission through metal channels and the spread of structural noise throughout the building.
Key Features
- Construction: The product is made on the "Metal - Fabric - Metal" principle. Rigid galvanized steel flanges are located on the edges for attachment to the system, and a durable flexible tape made of reinforced material is in the center, ensuring mobility.
- Tightness: The fabric part is connected to the metal via a reliable lock seam, which eliminates air leaks even at high pressure.
- Materials: Metal parts are made of DX51D (Z275) steel. Upon special request (for food industries or aggressive environments), stainless steel AISI 304 flanges are available.
Specifications and Dimensions
The standard installation length (L) of the connector is 150 mm.

Installation Recommendations
- Do not use for alignment! The flexible connector is not designed to correct route misalignments or to be used as a "bend". Fan and duct flanges must be strictly coaxial. Installing "at a break angle" will lead to rapid fabric tearing.
- Tension: The connector must be installed in a "relaxed" state, but not sagging. If stretched too tight, it will start transmitting vibration, defeating its purpose.
- Grounding: Since the fabric connector breaks the electrical circuit of the ductwork, to comply with electrical safety standards, it is necessary to connect the fan and pipe flanges with a separate copper jumper wire (shunt) for potential equalization.
