Rectangular Axis Offset
Product Description
Ventilation offset is a fitting designed to shift the axis of a rectangular duct without changing its flow cross-section. The item is used in places where a straight route installation is impossible: bypassing load-bearing beams, columns, intersecting with other engineering networks, or ceiling height differences.
Unlike makeshift solutions, the factory-made offset is calculated to maintain a constant free cross-sectional area throughout the bend. This prevents the creation of "bottlenecks," turbulence, and excess noise in the system.
Key Features and Ordering Parameters
- Important when ordering: A rectangular duct has two sides (width and height), so when ordering, it is critical to specify not only the offset size (h) but also its direction relative to the airflow: offset up/down (height) or left/right (width).
- Aerodynamics and length: There is a direct correlation: the larger the required offset (h), the longer the item length (L) must be. A transition that is too sharp creates air resistance. We select the length so that the slope angle is smooth and efficient.
- Construction: The structure is reinforced with transverse beading (stiffening ribs). Assembly is performed on lock forming machines, ensuring seam tightness.
- Materials: Z275 galvanized steel (standard), stainless steel (AISI 304/316), or powder coating in RAL colors.

Installation Recommendations
- Measurement accuracy: The item cannot be "adjusted" or trimmed on site. Carefully measure the distance between axes (h) on site before ordering.
- Support: The offset shifts the route's center of gravity. Be sure to install additional suspensions (profile + threaded rod) immediately before and after the element to prevent flange skewing.
- Sealing: Flange frames must be sealed with tape or sealant to prevent air leaks.
