Sheet Metal: Assortment Overview
Sheet metal is one of the main materials for construction and manufacturing, used for everything from roofing and gutter systems to industrial equipment and facades. SIA Akvilon offers a full assortment of metal sheets for construction that meet European quality standards.
Our assortment covers everything from cost-effective basic materials (galvanized steel, PE-coated steel) to high-performance alloys for demanding environments (AISI 316L) or for creating lightweight structures (Aluminum).
As a manufacturing company, we also offer technical consultations on alloy selection and related metal processing services.
Material Types and Characteristics
Choosing a material is a compromise between price, weight, strength, and durability. This table will help you navigate the key differences and features.

Our Manufacturing Capabilities
We are not just a supplier, but a reliable manufacturing partner. Our approach is based on experience, precision, and full compliance with standards.
- Experience and Expertise: We have been working with sheet metal since 1993 and have a staff of certified engineers.
- In-house Production: Our own workshops (over 1000 m²) in Riga, equipped with high-precision equipment.
- Material in Coils: Unlike metal depots, we also supply galvanized steel, PE-coated steel, and stainless steel in coils. We can unroll and cut exactly the length you need.
- Cutting to Size: We perform shearing, blanking, and laser cutting of sheet metal to your specifications.
- Flexibility and Custom Solutions: We perform bending, produce complex profiles (up to 4 mm thick), bent aluminum parts (up to 3 m long), and also perform welding (aluminum, stainless steel).
- Certification per EN 1090: Our structural load-bearing profiles have mandatory CE marking and a Declaration of Performance (DoP).
- Engineering Support: We are ready to help with technical consultation and structural calculations (ITC) for your elements.
- Full Cycle: We handle all stages—from calculation to manufacturing and delivery across EU countries.
Colors and Surface Finishes
For PE-coated steel, a wide selection of standard shades is available from the RAL and RR catalogs, ensuring compatibility with most architectural solutions.
Stainless steel is available with various surface finishes, including standard matte (2B) and brushed (4N/Scotch-Brite).
See current stock colors in our full color catalog.
Help with Calculation and Selection
Standard sheets and coils can be purchased directly from our online store. If you require technical consultation on choosing an alloy (e.g., 304 vs 316L), cutting layout calculations, or the fabrication of bent and welded parts, please contact our engineers.
