The source material for standing seam (coil or strip) complies with standard EN 502, and the finished system is classified under EN 14782.

Fastening Technology
The key advantage of standing seam roofing is concealed fastening. The panels are not pierced with screws. Instead, they are attached to the sheathing using special components called clips.
Fixed Clips: Rigidly secure the panel at the ridge.
Sliding (Floating) Clips: Allow the metal to move freely during thermal expansion, which is critical for long slopes (over 6-8 meters) to prevent buckling and "waves".
The edge of the clip is hooked into the seam and crimped together with the two panels, remaining completely hidden and watertight. This eliminates leaks at the fastening points.
Substrate Requirements
Unlike metal tiles, standing seam roofing requires more thorough substrate preparation. The standard solution is spaced sheathing (battens) made of dry, treated timber.
Board section: 25 x 100 mm.
Distance between boards: Recommended spacing is 100 mm.
For roofs with complex geometry or very low slopes (near 3°), a solid decking of OSB or tongue-and-groove boards may be required. A special structural separating mat must be installed over the solid deck to provide ventilation for the underside of the metal and to drain condensation, preventing corrosion.
