| Twin wall flue pipe system installation
Professional installation is a key condition for the safe and efficient operation of any chimney. A proper installation ensures that your heating system, whether it's the versatile IZOKOMPAKT or the designer NordicPipe, will operate effectively, safely, and serve for decades. Entrust this work to the manufacturer's team—our certified specialists who know all the intricacies of our insulated systems.
Why is professional installation crucial for your safety and comfort?
An unprofessional installation can negate all the benefits of a high-quality chimney and create serious risks. We guarantee adherence to three key principles:
1. Fire Safety for Your Home
The most critical stage is passing the chimney through walls, floors, and the roof. We strictly follow all regulations: we maintain a minimum safe distance of 100 mm from the outer wall of the chimney to any combustible materials for T450 and T600 class systems. We fill the space in the passage with non-combustible, heat-resistant insulation to completely eliminate the risk of fire.
2. Efficient Performance of Your Fireplace or Boiler
For a heating appliance to ignite easily, not release smoke into the room, and consume fuel efficiently, it needs a stable draft. We ensure this by correctly calculating the chimney height above the roof in accordance with building codes: at least 0.5 m above the ridge if the chimney is within 1.5 m of it, and not below a line drawn at a 10° angle from the ridge to the horizon if it is located more than 3 m away.
3. Durability of the Entire System
We assemble the vertical sections of the chimney using a special "condensate-proof" technique (the installation direction is against the flow of flue gases). This means that all joints are oriented so that any moisture formed inside the pipe flows down into a special drain rather than seeping into the insulation. This protects the chimney from internal degradation and corrosion, extending its service life.
What does the turn-key installation service include?
We perform a full cycle of work, relieving you of any hassle. The installation process includes the following stages:
- Consultation and Calculation: We help you choose the optimal diameter and a full set of components for your boiler, stove, or fireplace.
- Delivery: We deliver all necessary chimney components and fastening materials to your site.
- Creating Passages Through Structures: We mark out and form openings in walls, floors, and roofs with high precision in advance, complying with all fire safety norms and preparing the space for heat-resistant insulation:
- Professional Assembly and Fastening: We assemble the chimney element by element, starting from the heating appliance. Each component is securely fastened with special clamping bands for complete tightness. The structure is fixed to the load-bearing wall with sturdy brackets at intervals of no more than 2 meters.
- Roof Weatherproofing: We install a proprietary roof flashing and a special rain collar, which reliably protect against leaks where the chimney passes through the roof.
- Connection and Testing: We connect the chimney to your heating appliance and perform a draft check with a test fire.
- Custom Solutions: As a manufacturer we can produce custom adapters or fittings in-house to solve complex challenges.
- Warranty and Documentation: Upon completion, you receive a certificate of completion and all necessary documents confirming the quality and compliance of the system with regulations.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
We are confident in the quality of our products and provide a 10-year manufacturer's warranty on all components of the IZOKOMPAKT and NordicPipe systems. The warranty is valid provided that the installation is carried out in accordance with our instructions and the chimney is connected to a certified heating appliance. Additionally, we provide a warranty for all installation work performed.
With proper installation, correct choice of steel grade, and regular maintenance, the estimated service life of Akvilon insulated chimneys is 10 years or more.
According to the instructions and general regulations, the chimney must be inspected and cleaned at least twice a year: before the start of the heating season and once during the season. For cleaning stainless steel chimneys, only special non-metallic brushes and tools should be used to avoid damaging the inner surface of the pipe.
For our systems, the minimum safe distance from the outer surface of the chimney to any combustible materials (wood, plasterboard, etc.) is 100 mm. Our installers strictly adhere to this rule when passing through walls, floors, and roofs.
In most cases, a standard installation of an insulated chimney for a private house takes 1-2 working days. The exact timeframe depends on the height of the chimney, the complexity of the roofing work, and the building's structural features.
Yes, self-installation of our insulated chimneys is possible if you have the necessary experience and strictly follow our installation manual and current building codes. It is crucial to pay special attention to the proper organization of passages through combustible structures. We are always ready to provide full technical documentation and consult on any questions during the installation process.
The cost of installation is calculated individually for each project. It depends on several factors: the height of the chimney, the number of passages through walls and roofs, the type of roofing material, and the complexity of the work. To get a detailed estimate, please contact our specialists—we will consult you and prepare a detailed proposal.
Upon completion of the work, you will receive a full set of documents: a receipt, an invoice, a Declaration of Performance for the product confirming its certification according to EU standards, and a work completion certificate with a warranty.
