Rectangular Downpipe with Integrated Discharge Shoe (2.2 m)
This rectangular downpipe is a combined component consisting of a straight pipe section and an integrated discharge shoe. Installed at the lowest point of the vertical run within a rainwater drainage system, its primary function is the controlled drainage of rainwater and meltwater away from the building facade and foundation into a surface drainage system or splash block.
The product is manufactured from galvanised steel. The single-piece construction of the pipe and discharge shoe enhances the overall reliability of the assembly. For enhanced protection against weather exposure, road salts, and UV radiation, Polyester and PURAL polymer coatings are available.
Design Features:
- Integrated Design: Combining the pipe and discharge shoe into a single component minimises the number of connection joints, reducing the risk of leaks in the most heavily loaded section of the drainage run.
- Foundation Protection: The integrated shoe directs water flow away from the building, helping to prevent facade moisture damage, foundation erosion, and pavement degradation.
- High Throughput Capacity: The rectangular cross-section efficiently handles heavy water flows during periods of intense rainfall or rapid snowmelt.
- Weather and Corrosion Resistance: The use of galvanised steel or polymer coatings protects the base material from moisture and environmental exposure, improving corrosion resistance and ensuring long-term durability without loss of structural integrity.
