Den Braven (DEN BIT) Bitumen Mastics are professional systems for creating a seamless, monolithic waterproofing layer. Unlike sealants, which are intended for specific joints, mastics are used to protect large areas, such as roofs, foundations, and terraces, from moisture penetration.
The key advantage of DEN BIT compounds is their modification with synthetic rubber. This gives the brittle bitumen high elasticity, crack resistance, and mechanical strength, which is critical for compensating for structural deformations. Key Properties of Den Braven Waterproofing
All offered bitumen compounds possess a set of properties necessary for long-lasting protection:
- Waterproof Membrane: They create a seamless, elastic layer that blocks moisture and can compensate for substrate deformations.
- Adhesion: The compounds (especially the BIT-R primer) penetrate deeply into porous substrates, ensuring a reliable bond on surfaces of any slope.
- Chemical Resistance: The coating is resistant to atmospheric factors, water, weak acids and alkalis, as well as aggressive substances found in the soil, making it ideal for foundations.
- Safety (DEN BIT-M): The water-based mastic is solvent-free and safe for use in contact with polystyrene (EPS/XPS), as it does not dissolve it.
