Simple Metal Valley Flashing (Under-Roof Valley)

The simple valley flashing (or under-roof valley) is one of the most critical waterproofing components of a roofing system. It is installed in the internal angles of a roof formed by the intersection of two slopes. The primary function of this assembly is to collect and freely channel immense volumes of rainwater and meltwater directly into the gutter system.

This element is mounted onto solid or continuous decking directly beneath the roofing material (metal tiles, corrugated sheets, slate). Using a high-quality valley flashing guarantees 100% protection of the under-roof space from leaks in the most hydro-dynamically stressed zone of the roof.

Design Features:

• Adaptive Angle (V-shaped Profile): The convergence angle of the flanges (A and B) is custom-fabricated to match the actual joint geometry of the roof slopes on-site, ensuring a perfect fit against the decking.
• Anti-Capillary Hems: The lateral edges of the valley flashing are equipped with 10 mm internal hems. This engineering feature not only provides the wide metal sheet with necessary rigidity but also prevents capillary water from creeping behind the flashing edges during severe downpours or when snow drifts melt.
• High Discharge Capacity: The smooth surface of the metal promotes rapid water runoff and minimizes the accumulation of fine debris (pine needles, leaves) within the roof valley channel.
• Dependable Materials: Since the valley assembly is subjected to maximum water loads, the part is manufactured from premium galvanized steel, stainless steel, or sheet metal with polymer coatings (Polyester, PURal, PVC) that possess high corrosion resistance.
