Glazed Roof Access Hatch with Standing Seam Flashing

The roof access hatch with a skylight window is designed for integration into metal roofing systems using standing seam folding techniques. This product combines the functions of a service exit to the roof slope, an emergency escape route, and a daylight source for the under-roof space, helping improve the lighting of technical zones within the building.

Mechanical seaming of all structural joints guarantees the tightness of the metal assembly. Thanks to the streamlined oval shape of the base, rainwater and melting snow flow smoothly around the hatch, minimizing the likelihood of standing water at the top of the structure and reducing the overall hydrostatic load on the interlocking seams of the roof assembly.

Design Features:

• Natural Daylighting: The integrated rectangular window in the cover functions as a compact skylight. The configuration of the translucent insert, its light transmittance levels, and the material type (glass or polycarbonate) are determined in accordance with the project requirements specified by the customer.
• Rigid Construction: The hatch base is equipped with an internal steel strip frame. This reinforcing edge allows the structure to support human weight during entry and exit, preventing any deformation of the sheet metal.
• Heavy-Duty Hardware: The cover handle is manufactured from a 4 mm thick steel strip, enabling a firm grip even when the seals are frozen, and preventing bending or breakage during winter icing conditions.
• Seamless Seam Integration: The flashing apron design is fully prepared for interlocking with standing seam roofing panels using standard roof seaming tools.
