The Locking Band (or connecting clamp) is a fundamental fastening component for IZOKOMPAKT three-layer chimneys. Its primary purpose is to ensure a rigid and reliable mechanical connection between any two components of the twin-wall system (pipes, elbows, tees, etc.). Using a locking band on every joint is a mandatory condition for a safe and durable installation.

• Mechanical Strength of Joints: The band with its screw-tightening mechanism securely clamps the outer casings of two connected components, creating a single, rigid structure and preventing them from separating under their own weight or due to vibrations.

Application & IMPORTANT INSTALLATION RULES

• MANDATORY COMPONENT: A locking band must be installed on EVERY joint between two insulated chimney components. Operating the system without locking bands is strictly prohibited.
• Additional Fastening: To increase the reliability of the connection, it is recommended to additionally fasten the components at the joint with stainless steel rivets.
• Requirements for Large Diameters: When installing chimneys with an outer diameter of more than 250 mm, the use of wide locking bands and additionally securing the joint with rivets (6-16 pcs. depending on the diameter) is a MANDATORY requirement.
