Insulated 30° Chimney Elbow (Bend)
Product Description
The Insulated 30° Elbow (or bend) is a component of the IZOKOMPAKT three-layer chimney system, designed to create the smoothest and most gradual change in the flue channel's direction. Its main application is bypassing obstacles and creating a vertical chimney offset with the minimum possible resistance to flue gas flow, which is critical for maintaining a stable draft.
Key Features
- Smoothest Possible Direction Change: The 30° angle creates the lowest aerodynamic resistance among all standard elbows. This is the optimal solution for very tall twin-wall chimneys or for systems serving heating appliances that are sensitive to draft.
- Creating an Offset: By using two 30° elbows and a straight pipe section, the chimney axis can be offset to the side. To achieve the same offset distance as with 45° elbows, a longer straight pipe section will be required, but the flow path will be as smooth as possible.
- Seamless Bended Construction: The bend features a seamless bended construction, ensuring the smoothest possible internal turn for flue gases, minimizing aerodynamic resistance and improving draft.
- Fully Insulated: Like all components of IZOKOMPAKT insulated chimneys, the elbow is fully insulated, which guarantees the maintenance of flue gas temperature and fire safety.

Application & Alternative Solutions
- Mandatory Securing: The connection points of the elbow with pipes must be secured with locking bands.
- Alternative Solutions: For sharper turns, 45° elbows or 90° elbows are used.
