Insulated Chimney Damper (Draft Regulator)
Product Description
The Insulated Chimney Damper is a regulating component for IZOKOMPAKT insulated chimneys, designed for manual control of the draft in the flue channel. Using a rotating blade, it allows you to partially reduce the flue's cross-section to optimize the combustion process, and also to significantly reduce heat loss when the heating appliance is not in use.
Key Features
- Combustion Optimization and Fuel Economy: The rotating damper blade allows you to precisely regulate the chimney draft. By reducing excessive draft, you control the burning intensity, which leads to reduced firewood consumption and increased heat output time from a single load.
- Heat Retention in the Home: When the heating appliance is not in use, the closed damper acts as a barrier, preventing the escape of warm air from the house and protecting the room from drafts and cold air infiltration from outside.
- Safe Design (EN 16510-1): In accordance with European safety standards, the damper blade is designed so that it never completely closes off the flue. A minimum required open area (at least 20 cm²) is always maintained, which eliminates the risk of carbon monoxide buildup.
- Fully Insulated: The damper's body is a complete twin-wall component with non-combustible insulation, ensuring it does not compromise the thermal properties or fire safety of the three-layer chimney.

Application & Operating Rules
- Installation Location: It is recommended to install the damper on the first straight section of the insulated chimney after the transition from the single-wall pipe, at an accessible height for adjustment.
- Usage Rules: The damper must be fully open when lighting the fire and each time new fuel is added. Partial closing is only permissible during a stable burning regime.
- Restrictions: Not recommended for use with automatic boilers (gas, pellet) that have their own air supply and draft control systems. Please consult your heating appliance's manual before installation.
