| Stainless Steel Chimneys - IZOKOMPAKT
Insulated Bottom Adapter with Spigot
Product Description
The Bottom Adapter with Spigot (or transition piece) is the initial component of a twin-wall (insulated) IZOKOMPAKT chimney system. It is designed to transition from a single-wall flue pipe to a twin-wall system using the modern 'by condensate' principle. Its key feature is a lower narrowed spigot, which is inserted into the single-wall pipe from the boiler or stove. This assembly ensures that condensate running down the inner walls of the chimney remains inside the flue and does not leak out at the joint.
Key Features
- Connection with Spigot ('By Condensate'): The spigot design provides a male-female connection where the adapter acts as the 'male' part. This is the modern installation standard that completely protects joints from condensate leakage.
- Standalone Transition Component: This element allows you to start the insulated section of the chimney at any required point—for example, when transitioning from a single-wall pipe to a twin-wall section just before passing through a ceiling.
- Reliable Insulation: Immediately after the adapter, the flue gases enter an insulated channel, which maintains their high temperature, promotes stable draft, and minimizes condensate formation.
- Versatile Installation: It can be installed directly onto the outlet of the heating appliance or onto a single-wall pipe.

Application & Alternative Solutions
- Standard for Boilers: This connection type is the standard for most modern heating boilers (gas, pellet, diesel) that operate with condensate formation.
- Alternative Solution: For some wood-burning stoves, where a smooth smoke path without an internal step is important, an adapter with a socket is used.
