Ventilation Y-Tees (Pants) and X-Tees (Crosses)
Product Description
Ventilation tees of this type are used for complex or smooth connections in a system. Unlike standard T-shaped tees, they have a more complex geometry for specific tasks.
- Y-Tee ("Pants"): Has three spigots. Used for the smooth division of one airflow into two (or merging two into one) at a 45° angle.
- X-Tee (Cross): Has four spigots and is used to connect four ducts at a single point (typically at a 90° angle).
Key Features and Options
- Types: We supply standard Y-Tees (45°) and X-Tees (Crosses, 90°).
- Reducing Tees: Any of the tee's spigots can be manufactured with a different (smaller) diameter, functioning as a tee-reducer.
- Airtightness Options: The standard version is supplied with EPDM rubber gaskets on the spigots for Class "D" airtightness. A version without a gasket can be manufactured upon request (to reduce cost).
- Connection Types: The standard version is "male" ("-"), for insertion into ducts. "Female" ("+", for connecting to nipples) or mixed types can be manufactured on request.
- Custom Configurations: Manufacturing of tees at any non-standard angle (e.g., 30°), with non-standard spigot lengths, or based on your drawings is available.

Material and Thickness (for all types):
- Material: Galvanized steel DX51+Z275. Stainless steel (AISI430, AISI304, AISI316), aluminum, and powder coating (according to RAL or RR catalogs) are available on request.
- Thickness: From 0.5 to 0.9 mm depending on the diameter.
- Certification: The products comply with CE, EN 1505:2000 and EN 1506:2007 standards.
Application and Installation Tips
- Installation: In the standard version, all "male" spigots of the tee are inserted inside the ducts, ensuring an airtight connection.
- Fitting-to-fitting connection: To connect a tee spigot to another fitting (e.g., a bend), use a coupler (external connection).
- Sealing: When ordering the version without a gasket, the joints must be sealed with aluminum tape.
Availability and Ordering
- Availability: Standard equal Y-tees (up to D-250), shown in the table, are kept in stock or delivered within short lead times.
- Standard Order: X-Tees (Crosses) and large-diameter Y-Tees (D-315 and up) are standard items supplied on a custom-order basis.
- Non-Standard Order: On request, it is possible to manufacture reducing tees (with different diameters), tees without a rubber gasket (to reduce cost), non-standard diameters (up to 1250 mm), and any other non-standard variations (including the materials specified in the characteristics).
