Den Braven Fire Sealant 1200°C High-Temperature Fire Cement (Black, 310 ml)

Den Braven Fire Sealant 1200°C is a pasty, one-component fire cement and sealant based on sodium silicate. The product cures by drying to form a hard, rigid, high-temperature resistant seal. It is specifically developed for sealing joints in heaters, open fireplaces, and ovens where no structural movement occurs. The formulation provides exceptional bonding and joining properties for temperature-resistant stones.

Design and Operational Features:

• Extreme Temperature Resistance: Reliably withstands operating temperatures up to +1200°C.
• Rigid Sealing: This is a hardening, non-elastic product designed strictly for applications where no joint movement or component displacement occurs.
• Porous Substrate Preparation: When applying to highly porous surfaces, the substrate should be slightly moistened beforehand to achieve proper adhesion.
• Initial Heating Procedure: Upon the first exposure to high temperatures, it is highly recommended to increase the temperature gradually. Rapid heat exposure can cause residual moisture within the sealant to evaporate instantly, leading to bubble formation.
• Limitations: Not suitable for joints subjected to continuous exposure to water. Do not apply on substrates made of polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), polycarbonate (PC), PMMA, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene, and bituminous materials.
