Stainless steel chimney end plate for oval flue – protection against moisture and weather exposure
The chimney end plate is a protective component installed at the top of an oval flue system. It prevents rain, debris, and moisture from entering the chimney channel, helping to protect the chimney walls and extend the overall service life of the flue system.
This element is made from high-grade stainless steel (AISI 304L/316L), offering exceptional durability and resistance to weather and corrosion. The metal plate features a precisely cut elliptical opening, allowing the oval flue pipe to pass through securely and tightly. This design ensures a reliable seal at the chimney’s upper edge and provides a clean, professional finish to the installation.
To prevent rainwater from flowing down the walls of the oval insert and to ensure ventilation, an additional fitting called an «Oval storm collar» is installed on the oval pipe above the chimney cap.
