• Flue gas flow: Gases pass through the flue duct and contact the canopy cover.

• Reversal of motion: When the flue gas encounters an obstacle, it reverses direction, reducing the energy of the sparks.

• Spark extinguishing: Sparks pass through a screen which effectively extinguishes them, eliminating the risk of fire.
