Roof Flashing for Chimneys (Roof Penetration Plate)
Product Description
The Roof Flashing (also known as a roof penetration plate or "apron") is a key waterproofing component for a twin-wall chimney, ensuring a sealed and safe passage of the pipe through the roof structure. It consists of a metal base plate and an integrated cone that fits tightly around the pipe, reliably protecting the roof space from moisture ingress.
Key Features
- Complete Waterproofing: A correctly installed roof flashing completely eliminates leaks at the junction of the chimney and the roof by diverting rain and meltwater.
- Selection by Exact Roof Pitch: The components are manufactured for different ranges of roof slope. Choosing the correct angle ensures that the cone will be perfectly vertical, providing minimal gaps and a proper installation.
- Durable Materials: It is made from the same materials as the outer casing of the insulated chimney (stainless steel, galvanized steel, or painted steel), ensuring a uniform appearance and long service life.
- System Solution: To be fully sealed, the roof flashing assembly must be completed with a rain collar (storm collar), which is installed on the pipe directly above the cone.
How to Choose the Correct Angle?
The choice of component depends on the pitch (slope) of your roof. We offer four standard options, each available for purchase in our e-shop:

Important Installation Notes
- Correct Layering: The base plate of the roof flashing should be installed under the roofing material on the side closer to the ridge, and over the roofing material on the side closer to the eaves, to ensure proper water drainage.
- Sealing: It is recommended to additionally seal the areas where the plate adjoins the roofing material with a suitable roofing sealant.
- Mandatory Use of a Rain Collar: Without the installation of a rain collar (storm collar), the penetration point will not be sealed. It is a mandatory accompanying component.
