Insulated 90° Chimney Elbow with Inspection Hatch
Product Description
The 90° Elbow with Inspection Hatch is a multifunctional component for IZOKOMPAKT three-layer chimney systems, combining two functions: changing the flue channel direction by 90 degrees and providing access for cleaning. The built-in inspection hatch allows for easy maintenance of chimney sections where bends can contribute to soot buildup, eliminating the need for additional inspection tees.
Key Features
- Two-in-One: Bend and Inspection: This component saves space and reduces system cost, as it eliminates the need to install a separate elbow followed by a cleaning tee.
- Convenient Access for Cleaning: The removable insulated cap provides direct access to the inside of the elbow—a place where soot often accumulates. This significantly simplifies the maintenance of the insulated chimney.
- Seamless Bended Construction: The bend features a seamless bended construction, ensuring the smoothest possible internal turn for flue gases, minimizing aerodynamic resistance and improving draft.
- Fully Insulated: The elbow, including the inspection cap, is fully insulated with non-combustible basalt wool, which guarantees fire safety and maintains high gas temperatures at the turning point.

Application & Alternative Solutions
- Recommended Installation Point: Ideal for installation at the bottom of a vertical section that begins immediately after a horizontal run. This provides convenient access for removing soot from the lower elbow.
- Mandatory Securing: The connection points of the elbow with pipes must be secured with locking bands.
- Alternative Solution: A standard setup consisting of two separate components: a regular 90° elbow and an inspection tee (with a round hatch or with a rectangular door).
