General Overview
Proper installation of single-wall stainless steel chimneys is a crucial step that directly affects the safety, durability, and efficiency of the entire chimney system. The RENOFAST system is designed for easy installation and excellent adaptability to existing chimney shafts. Thanks to a well-engineered design and high-quality materials, installation can be performed quickly and safely without extensive construction work.
RENOFAST liners are inserted into existing brick chimney shafts. This method effectively protects brickwork from damage caused by acidic condensate and high exhaust gas temperatures. The smooth stainless steel inner surface improves draft performance and minimizes soot and condensate buildup.
The system is compatible with various fuel types, including natural gas, liquid fuel, wood, and other solid materials, with exhaust gas temperatures up to 600 °C. All RENOFAST components are manufactured from heat-resistant stainless steel AISI 304L/316L, offering high corrosion resistance and certified according to the European standard EN 1856-2. Both round and oval profiles are available to provide optimal solutions for virtually any existing chimney, regardless of its shape and size.
Main Advantages:
- High-quality stainless steel: All components are made from heat-resistant AISI 304L and 316L stainless steel with wall thicknesses ranging from 0.5 to 1.0 mm. The material resists corrosion, aggressive condensates, and high temperatures.
- Temperature classes:
- T600: For heating appliances with flue gas temperatures up to 450 °C (briefly up to 600 °C). Suitable for RENOFAST 600 and 600 PLUS products.
- T200: For condensing boilers and wet conditions (W-class), with special seals. Suitable for positive pressure operation up to 200 Pa (P1). RENOFAST 200 and 200 PLUS series.
- Certified quality: Chimneys are tested in an independent laboratory in Denmark, CE-marked, and certified according to EN 1856-2, meeting all EU safety and quality standards.
- Advanced manufacturing: Laser cutting and robotic longitudinal seam welding ensure precise geometry, durability, and airtight connections.
- Easy and reliable assembly: All components are joined using a socket connection principle, with one end hydraulically expanded for a tight and secure fit without additional seals in standard systems.
- Versatile profiles: Available in both round and oval shapes for efficient adaptation to various chimney shaft configurations.

Key Installation Requirements:
- Minimum chimney height: The total height of the chimney from the heating appliance to the flue outlet must be at least 5 meters to ensure stable draft.
- Condensate drainage and maintenance access: A condensate drain must be installed, and inspection hatches should be provided for regular cleaning and maintenance. Hatches should be easily accessible.
- Correct flue diameter: The diameter of the inserted flue liner must not be smaller than the outlet diameter of the heating appliance.
- Fire safety: Maintain a minimum clearance of 500 mm from the chimney surface to combustible materials.
RENOFAST Single-Wall Chimney: Essential Installation Guidelines
- The installation of the RENOFAST single-wall chimney begins from the bottom up — starting at the heating appliance and extending to the flue outlet on the roof. A cut-out is made at the base of the brick chimney to install and connect the condensate drain, inspection hatch, and Tee. Installation then continues from the roof: chimney sections are gradually lowered into the shaft. For added safety, the first section is secured with a safety rope loop.
- The T-piece is connected to the straight chimney sections at the bottom.
- If necessary, centering spacer rings are installed inside the shaft to keep the liner aligned vertically and prevent lateral movement.
- Vertical sections of the liner are assembled in the direction of condensate flow (the upper section fits into the lower one), while the heating appliance connection is assembled in the direction of flue gas flow — from the appliance upwards.
- The chimney top is sealed with a chimney end plate and equipped with a storm collar and rain cap for weather protection.
- Chimney sections are connected using stainless steel rivets (mandatory) or special clamping bands. It is recommended to use clamping bands for connecting the heating appliance, with joints additionally sealed using high-temperature sealant.
